Working with Emma was a dream. She was thoughtful, kind, and extremely professional throughout the whole editing process. Her communication was superb; we talked out a timeframe together, and she was able to meet the deadline (even though it was tight!), and kept me up to date on starting and getting through the manuscript! Emma did a thorough job of going through that last proofread for me, and I loved how she added comments when she wasn’t sure what I meant in a sentence or questioned whether it should be “this” or “that” – she caught a lot of things that would have made me go “Oof!” had I published them, and I am so grateful to her for it! Thank you, Emma!

Punctuation and grammar are the hardest part about a finished book, for me. I knew my debut needed another pass with a copy/line editor. Emma just so happened to come across my thread feed and it was like fate.
Emma made quick work of the edits on my already published debut and I was pleased to see and hear that it wasn’t in bad shape, just some minor punctuation and tense issues.
She was also kind enough to leave a few little notes of places that caught her eye that could use rewording.
She’s a delight to work with and I’ll be hiring her in the future to make sure my books are in the best shape possible as I publish moving forward.

I honestly can't recommend Emma enough. Looking through the first chapters she proofread, I immediately knew this was exactly what I needed. She caught so many things that I had missed (and I wasn't the only one to miss them as A Princess of Darkness and Fire had been edited before!), and her attention to details is incredible.
What I appreciated most was the care she put into my manuscript. You can tell she genuinely wants to help make your book the best it can be. On top of that, she completely got invested in the story. Seeing her reaction to the ending, and finding out she immediately downloaded the second book because she needed to know what happened next, meant so much to me as an author.
I'm grateful I trusted her with my story, and I already know I want to keep working with her on the rest of the Darkness and Light series. If you're looking for someone who's thorough, professional, and truly cares about your book, I couldn't recommend her more.
